Privacy in the shop assistant

Machine translation – the Slovak version is binding. Slovenčina

Draft text – the final wording is being prepared.

What is stored

If the shop has the Pro plan, every conversation with its assistant is stored: your messages, the assistant's answers with the items it showed you (name, price and availability at that moment) and the files you send. Location data (GPS) is removed from photos. Access keys are never stored in the conversation.

Who can see it

Only the owners of this shop, in My shop. Other shops and visitors cannot see it.

How long

A conversation ends after 30 minutes without a message or when you close the chat. The shop keeps it until it deletes it, or for 30, 90 or 365 days if it set a limit; then it is deleted with its files.

Deleting

While the chat is open, you can delete the conversation and files with “Delete my conversation”. Later, please ask the shop directly.

Bookings

When you book a time through the assistant, the shop receives your name, mobile number and, if given, e-mail, address and note, and the time you agreed. We send an SMS with a code to your mobile (valid for 10 minutes); the code is not stored. The booking is kept for the shop as a contact and – if the shop connected its Google Calendar – as an event in its calendar. If the shop switches it on, you get a reminder SMS the day before. Only the shop's owners see your data. SMS are sent through an SMS provider (Brevo, or Twilio), which receives only the number and the text of the message.

When the assistant cannot answer

If the assistant cannot answer, you can leave the shop a phone number or e-mail (and a name). The shop keeps them as a contact together with this conversation and gets an e-mail that you are waiting for an answer (without your number or address). It replies by SMS or e-mail. The time you agreed is kept too. You can ask the shop directly to delete the contact.

Searching beyond Cacaduu

When Cacaduu's main search finds too little, it also asks other services: shops nearby from OpenStreetMap (and Google Maps, when switched on) and offers on larger shops' websites (Anthropic's web search). It sends them only the product and the town from your question, nothing else about you. We never find out your location.

“Partners” offers come from partner shops' product feeds, which Cacaduu reads on its own server. Nothing about you is sent to partners when you search; only you open a partner's link. Affiliate links are marked “partner link” and never change the order of the results.

TODO (legal text): the services the main search sends the product and the town to – OpenStreetMap Foundation (Nominatim, Overpass API), Google (Places API, when switched on), Anthropic (Claude and its web search).
